For many years, Black women have been leaving the traditional workforce to become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses (*points to self* ☺️). But recently, this movement has accelerated as Black women are becoming less tolerant of workplace discrimination.
Despite Black spending power reaching a record $1.6 trillion in 2021, largely driven by Black women, companies are still failing to hire and retain them in the workforce 🤷🏽♀️.
This week I decided to reflect on this shift and the potential impact this will likely have on the future of organizations and the economy.
